FAQs

Q. What's this Exchange business then?

The idea is to welcome lindy hoppers from around the world to your city and to celebrate your swing scene. Exchanges are about social dancing and the opportunity to meet lindy hoppers from other countries. They do not include workshops or competitions. What's an exchange?

Q. When do I find out about my accomodation arrangements?

A. A few weeks before the exchange, you will be emailed details of who you will be staying with and how to find them.

Q. Hang on? Isn't the Savoy Ball part of LLX?

A. This year, the London Lindy Exchange is in April. The Savoy Ball remains in March, celebrating the opening of the Savoy Ballroom in March 1926. This year it is part of the Holiday In Harlem and should be a great weekend.

There will, of course, be a great Saturday night as part of the London Lindy Exchange -- in a lovely ballroom and with good live and DJ music too, as well as a LATE NIGHT this year for all the diehard dancers out there who just can't get enough!

Q. Where do I send my cheque?

Make cheques payable to London Lindy Exchange and send them to 49 Elms Road, London, SW4 9EP

If you're paying by cheque, make sure you still complete the registration form.

Q. I sent an email to info@londonlindyexchange.com yesterday and no one has replied!

A. The people organising the exchange are doing it voluntarily, and have to go to work to earn money. Please be patient - we will reply to all queries.
